Satan’s Whisper The Bible on God’s Goodness
God treats other people better than you, so you must not be worthy of God’s goodness. God does not show favoritism. (Romans 2:10–12)
If God was good, you’d have a great marriage, children, success or whatever else you long for. God is our shield and our very great reward. (Genesis 15:1–3)
God is just setting you up for another disappointment. God knows the plans he has for you…plans to prosper you and give you a future. (Jeremiah 29:11)
Nothing good can possibly come from the persecution, hardship and trials you’re experiencing. God takes every situation in our lives and brings good out of it, including persecution, hardship and trials. (Romans 8:28)
Your goal should be to perform well enough to get into the center of God’s favor. God’s favor doesn’t depend on your desire or efforts, but on God’s mercy. (Romans 9:16)
The reason you don’t have what you long for is because you aren’t good enough. Your boundary lines are in exactly the right places; In fact, you have a delightful inheritance. (Psalm 16:6)
God is withholding the good gifts that you need. Since God didn’t even hold back from giving his own Son, he’ll also graciously give you all things. (Romans 8:32)
You are being deprived of the good you need to be happy. God has given you everything you need for life and godliness through his goodness. (2 Peter 1:3)
