Robin Weidner’s literary career began in the quiet recesses of her heart–journaling and meditating on Scripture and reflecting on what God was doing in her life. After first encountering Christ as a teenager, Robin attended a Christian college and quickly pursued serving in the ministry. After marrying, Robin and her husband Dave served churches throughout the Midwest in youth ministry and adult ministry roles eventually leading them to their current home near Chicago, Illinois.

Throughout their ministry service, Robin has always tried to find an outlet for her passion for writing. Her own personal battles with love addiction and codependency, along with ministering to women from all ages and backgrounds, has given her unique insight into women’s trials and needs. This priceless experience has forged into Robin’s heart the compassion she shares with women today. Although Robin and Dave left their formal ministry roles in 1990, they have remained an instrumental part of their local church family, helping plant and lead churches.

Eager to use her creative skills, Robin worked in variety of roles after the ministry, including event management, office administration, graphic design and writing. In October 2002, she launched her own business, Robin Weidner Copywriting & Consulting, further cultivating her writing skills and giving her the flexibility many wives and mothers crave.

With a specialty in health and education, Robin has written marketing pieces for national and international organizations including the American Massage Therapy Association, Career Education Corporation, the learning division of the National Council of the State Boards of Nursing and the National Safety Council. Robin also writes feature articles for mtj (Massage Therapy Journal).

As new corporate clients sought Robin’s expertise, she also felt the pull of a twenty-year call to write a book about overcoming insecurity. As a self-proclaimed “insecure soul,” Robin knew she needed to write the book for her own personal healing and as a ministry to women around the world battling the same internal struggle.

The publishing of Secure in Heart: Overcoming Insecurity in a Woman’s Life by Discipleship Publications International has ushered Robin into a new world of outreach to women. While maintaining her thriving business, Robin has also accepted invitations to speak worldwide at Secure in Heart women’s events and has been featured on local and national Christian radio and television shows.

Robin and Dave celebrate 26 years of marriage this year. They cherish time spent with their three grown children and are also proud parents of their black Labrador, Mojo. The Weidner’s actively minister to couples in the greater Chicagoland area and enjoy traveling together. Robin continues to use her love of writing to deepen her relationship with the Lord and hopes to pen more books to meet the needs of women in Christian and secular circles.

Robin Weidner is a graduate of Western Illinois University with a BA degree from the Board of Governor’s program. You can learn more about Robin’s professional career at www.rwcopywriting.net.
